During the course of the last year aluminium dross cooling system manufacturer J.McIntyre Machinery Ltd was awarded the prestigious quality standard, ISO 9001, for its TARDIS product. The award, which is held by only around 3% of British companies, recognises McIntyre’s commitment to provide exceptional quality of service and care to its worldwide customer base. Recent TARDIS sales include a 1599 which is currently in build for Soral of Norway. The 1599 is the largest TARDIS in the range, with a dross pot able to take up to 1000kg of dross in a single skim. This latest 1599 has been developed to meet stringent new noise and fume emission regulations, the machine having the ability to operate at below 75db. Other recent orders include a third TARDIS unit for Alcuilux Gottshol of Luxembourg to meet their expanding production requirements. Alcoa in Swansea are also reporting significant metal recovery and environmental improvements following the installation of their first TARDIS, whilst Slovenian company Talum are delighted with their second TARDIS. Mr Zvone Banko casthouse manager of Talum says: “We are extremely satisfied with the performance of the second TARDIS dross press and cooling system. Having a TARDIS means easy, reliable, clean and safe operation and the on and off site metal recovery has resulted in a payback for the whole investment of within 8 months.” |
